An Attitude of Gratitude
Scripture: Matthew 6:19-33 Matthew 6:19-33
[19]"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and
steal, [20]but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do
not break in and steal. [21]For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.
[22]"The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is
healthy, your whole body will be full of light, [23]but if
your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.
If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the
darkness!
[24]"No one can serve two masters, for either he will
hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to
the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and
money.
[25]"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your
life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about
your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than
food, and the body more than clothing? [26]Look at the
birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into
barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not
of more value than they? [27]And which of you by being
anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? [28]And
why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of
the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,
[29]yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not
arrayed like one of these. [30]But if God so clothes the
grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is
thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O
you of little faith? [31]Therefore do not be anxious,
saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or
'What shall we wear?' [32]For the Gentiles seek after all
these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need
them all. [33]But seek first the kingdom of God and his
righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

"Looking For A Love Connection"
Matthew
the six Chapter and the thirty-three verse tells us to "Seek ye first
the kingdom of God and all things, not some things, will be add to you".
We
find ourselves looking everywhere but to God for what we need. In
Revelation the second chapter and the fourth verse it says, "We have
left our first love which is Jesus The Christ, and have gone on our
merry way looking for fleshy or carnal love in all the wrong places". In
other words we have Jesus who truly loves us, but we go after what
makes us fill good, and label that, which makes us fell good as love.
So here we are "Looking For A Love Connection".
Some of us
find ourselves trying to change people around us to secure or make that
Love Connection. God said, "seek me first". What God wants us to see is
that if we make Him the center of our joy that He will provide you with
all that you could ever want or need.
If we would take all
that energy we spend on looking for something or someone to make us
happy, and channel this energy toward an intimate relationship with
God, just think how much better off we would be.
If we would
devote ourselves to God, just like we devote precious time on the
things of this world, only to find that we are lead down the road to
destruction. We try to fill this void in our lives with drug, alcohol,
the right job, the big bank account, the best neighborhood, the right
woman or the right man only to find out that the grass was not as green
as we thought, it was only a green light bulb. What we thought was
going to bring us true happiness has only disappointed us again. We
just knew we had found that "Love Connection".
My brothers and sisters the only true Love Connection can only be found in Jesus The Christ.
How
do I know? Well I am glad you asked. Over thousand years ago Jesus left
His home in Glory to come down forty and two generations, was born of a
virgin who's name was Mary. He walked on this earth showing love to all
He met, He heeled the sick, He restored sight to the blind, and He
raised the dead.
Then he went to an old rugged cross, there
he suffered, bleed and died for your sins and mine. He was buried in a
borrowed tomb, and on the third day He got up with all power in His
Hand.
This act of love for us while we were yet sins is the
true “Love Connection. If you will make this Love Connection to our
Lord and Savior Jesus The Christ, I promise you, you want be
disappointed ever again in your life.
Your search is over,
the Love Connection you need is here, all you have to do is just except
Him into your lives today, and you will find that completeness you have
been searching for. In Him you will find rest, peace, happiness, joy
unspeakable joy. He will be someone you can lean and depend upon.
God Bless You.
